Marina WiFi built for the coast.
Marine-grade hardware, weatherproof installs, and coverage that actually reaches every berth, not just the clubhouse. We understand the unique challenges of the coastal environment.
Why marinas need specialist WiFi
Standard WiFi equipment simply doesn't last in a marina environment. Salt air corrodes connectors and enclosures. Metal hulls reflect and absorb signal. Dispersed pontoons mean long distances between the router and the berth. And the waterfront is exposed to everything the British weather can throw at it.
We've been designing and installing marina WiFi long enough to know exactly what fails, and how to stop it before it does.
We use IP67-rated enclosures and marine-grade cabling rated for coastal environments.
AP placement is designed around the pontoon layout to minimise interference from vessels.
All exposed equipment is protected with surge arrestors and lightning protection rated for the environment.
Long-range access points and directional antennas cover berths that would be dead zones for standard kit.

Why does marina WiFi need specialist installation?
Marinas present unique challenges: salt air corrodes standard hardware, metal hulls block signals, pontoons are dispersed, and the marine environment demands IP67-rated weatherproof enclosures and corrosion-resistant cabling. Standard office or domestic WiFi equipment simply won't last in a coastal environment.
Can WiFi reach boats on the pontoons?
Yes. We position access points to provide coverage across berths and visitor pontoons. We use directional and high-gain antennas where needed to cover the distances involved. The exact coverage will depend on your site layout, which we assess in our survey.
Do you offer the free-install model for marinas?
Yes. The free-install model is available for marinas as well as holiday parks. Berth-holders and visitors pay for WiFi access; the marina gets the infrastructure at no upfront cost. Use our quote calculator to get an indicative quote and find out which model suits your site.
What about GDPR and data collection?
Our captive portal is fully UK GDPR and PECR compliant. Users accept a terms of service and privacy notice at login. Data collected is limited to what's required for service delivery. We can help you draft your privacy notice if needed.
Can you cover the café and office on a separate network?
Yes. We configure separate VLANs (virtual networks) for guest access, operations and any point-of-sale systems. Guest traffic is fully isolated from your marina's operational network for security.
Do you install outside of England?
We install nationwide across England, Scotland and Wales. For marinas in Europe, our self-install kits are an option, pre-configured and shipped to your door. Get in touch to discuss your location.
